Job Description

Our client is a well-known company in the vending industry, they are looking to expand over the next few years. To support this growth, they need a Technical Service Manager to join their team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing an established team as well as running full implementation of a new service division. Previous experience in a similar environment is required. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the desire to progress to the Head of Service.

Overview of Role

  • To oversee the development and maintenance of efficient processes and structures.
  • Defining key performance indicators (KPIs), implementing training programs, managing recruitment, and ensuring effective customer communication.
  • Oversee all budgeting and strategic planning for the service department.
  • Collaborate closely with the UK management team to ensure alignment with and achievement of our overall business strategy and goals

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement all processes related to service tasks from initial call through to invoice
  • Work with internal departments to implement systems required
  • Maintain good customer relations by presenting a professional, efficient and helpful service.
  • Responsibility of the service scheduling, admin and service team.
  • Responsibility to carry out recruitment and making sure all ongoing training plans are in place as required
  • Build relationships with key customers and understand external relationships to be able to advise on their agreed pricing and contract structure to ensure satisfaction of the departments/company’s service.
  • Product awareness to be confident in answering customer questions.
  • Work with the Head of Operations to define route to market and strategy
  • Working on a range of market leading coffee and vending machines
  • Previous experience training and developing engineers
  • Co-ordinate and support machine repairs, services and installations
  • Co-ordinate and support fault finding and diagnostics
  • Working on installations and leading other team members for larger projects
  • Co-ordinate and support planned maintenance
  • Covering a local area, and occasionally travelling to further jobs
  • Provide excellent customer service and training

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a similar environment
  • Used to using ERP and CRM systems
  • Ability to communicate with customers at all levels and with internal functions
  • Strong IT Microsoft Office Package Skills
  • Keen desire to innovate and learn new market trends
  • Excellent planning, Organisation & Time Management skills
  • Full, Clean UK Drivers Licence
  • Clean DBS
