Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Boat Builder / Marine Yard Technician to support vessel repairs, refits, and finishing works. This role involves hands-on work across a variety of boats, ensuring all structural and cosmetic work is completed to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fibreglass repairs, hull restoration, and structural work.
  • Support vessel refits, upgrades, and general maintenance activities.
  • Perform sanding, fairing, and finishing to a high standard.
  • Prepare surfaces for coatings, painting, and protective treatments.
  • Assist across wider yard operations and support technical teams as required.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and safe working practices at all times.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in boat building, fibreglass repair, or marine yard environments.
  • Strong hands-on skills in structural repair and finishing techniques.
  • Experience working on a range of vessels and marine components.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices within a workshop or yard environment.
