This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and customer-focused individual who understands the importance of clear communication, accurate administration and an efficient workshop experience.

As an Automotive Service Advisor, you will act as the key link between customers and the workshop team.

You will be responsible for welcoming customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, booking work into the workshop and keeping them informed throughout the repair or servicing process.

The successful candidate will be professional, organised and confident discussing vehicle maintenance and repair requirements with both customers and technicians. You will play an important role in ensuring work is properly scheduled, customer expectations are managed and each vehicle moves smoothly through the service department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers visiting or contacting the service department.
  • Book vehicles into the workshop for servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
  • Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately record vehicle symptoms.

  • Strong customer service and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Good understanding of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and workshop processes.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a clear and customer-friendly way.
  • Confident handling customer queries, complaints and follow-up conversations.
  • Strong administration, organisation and attention to detail.

  • Valid driving licence would be advantageous.

Experience with manufacturer-led dealerships, European vehicles, warranty processes or multi-brand service operations would be beneficial.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be polished, practical and confident when dealing with customers.

You do not need to be a qualified mechanic, but you must have enough automotive knowledge to understand customer concerns, ask the right questions and communicate effectively with technicians.
