Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Boat Yard Equipment Operator to support daily yard operations, including vessel movements, equipment handling, and general site coordination. This role is critical in ensuring safe and efficient handling of vessels within a busy marine environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Haul, launch, and position vessels safely using yard equipment.
- Operate tractors, forklifts, telehandlers, and trailers.
- Load, move, and position boats within the yard and over short distances where required.
- Power wash and prepare vessels, removing marine growth and debris.
- Maintain yard organisation, equipment readiness, and general upkeep.
- Support daily operations and coordinate with office and technical teams as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment within a marine or similar environment.
- Confident handling vessels, trailers, and lifting equipment safely.
- Strong understanding of equipment checks, maintenance, and safe operation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable in a hands-on, outdoor environment.
- Good awareness of health and safety practices within a yard setting.
