  • Allocating work and managing site schedules to maintain productivity and meet project deadlines.
  • Monitoring project progress and providing clear updates to senior management, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Identifying project risks, delays and operational challenges and implementing appropriate solutions.
  • Supervising, supporting and mentoring project and site team members.
  • Managing subcontractors, vendors and external partners to ensure work is completed to the required quality and timescale.
  • Reviewing project documentation, specifications, technical drawings and deliverables.
  • Monitoring expenditure and supporting the preparation of project cost and financial reports.
  • Ensuring projects comply with company procedures, health and safety standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate project records, reports and supporting documentation.
  • Attending project sites regularly to monitor standards, resolve issues and support operational delivery.
  • Completing additional project or operational duties appropriate to the position when required.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a practical and commercially aware Construction Manager who can lead projects, organise multiple workstreams and maintain control within a fast-moving environment.

You should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration or a related discipline.

Or:

  • Substantial relevant construction and project management experience in place of a formal degree.
  • At least three to five years' experience in construction project coordination, site supervision or project management.
  • Experience managing construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or similar technical projects.
  • Proven experience coordinating employees, subcontractors, suppliers and multiple project activities.
  • The ability to manage more than one project or workstream simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting and cost control.
  • The ability to understand and review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction-site health and safety requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A practical and solutions-focused approach to resolving project challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidence communicating with employees at all levels, senior management, clients and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software such as Microsoft Project, Asana or similar platforms.
  • The ability to work independently, make informed decisions and operate with minimal supervision.
  • A valid driving licence and the ability to travel between project sites.
