The Opportunity

We are supporting a well-established aviation operation in London in the search for an experienced GSE Mechanic.

This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and repairing ground support equipment essential to daily airside operations. Ideal for a mechanically skilled engineer looking to work within a fast-paced, safety-critical aviation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out maintenance and repair of ground support equipment (GSE)
  • Diagnose faults across mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems
  • Service a range of equipment including:
    • Baggage tractors
    • Belt loaders
    • Ground Power Units (GPU)
    • Air conditioning units
    • Pushback tugs
  • Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a mechanical role (GSE, HGV, plant, or automotive)
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Previous experience within aviation or GSE
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Airside pass (or ability to obtain clearance)
